Neonatal Herpes Workgroup

The Neonatal Herpes Workgroup, which represents a cross-section of STD directors and public health organizations including the American Social Health Association (ASHA), the Association for Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), is exploring the possibilities and ramifications of making neonatal herpes a reportable condition.

Goals:

  1. Create a position statement on making neonatal herpes
    a reportable condition.
  2. Develop models and best practices on how to make neonatal herpes

    on neonatal herpes.
