full-time, project, grant-funded position. Seeking a qualified individual to provide outreach, referrals, risk/harm reduction education and social marketing services to members of Portland's Gay male community and to high-risk populations based upon program-identified needs. Experience with HIV prevention and education including counseling and testing, harm reduction, behavior change and knowledge of issues related to males who have sex with males (MSM) is highly desirable. Web site design and maintenance experience desired. Position will entail working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide community outreach to Portland's MSM/Gay community and to other individuals at high risk for HIV and STDs. Must have good communication skills, ability to implement and evaluate program objectives, and work independently in the field. BA degree in public health, health education or related field. Must have valid Maine Class C driver's license and have personal vehicle available for work use.
