Job Description
Provides leadership to a broad spectrum of HIV/AIDS/STD/Viral Hepatitis
interventions, preventions, treatments, care services and surveillance programs in Indiana.
Interacts with multiple external and internal audiences to share public and private responses to HIV/AIDS/STD/Viral Hepatitis epidemics and to reflect the mission, vision and goals of the agency.
Promote continued coordination between ISDH programs and other HIV/AIDS/STD/Viral Hepatitis programs in Indiana.
Manage multiple programs of the ISDH Division including budget, personnel and related resource development. Provide staff leadership and direction to enhance the overall functioning of the Division.
Participate in national activities related to HIV/STD/AIDS/Viral Hepatitis issues.
Implement a process that plans and sets division priorities within the restraints of available resources.
Coordinates the acquisition of timely and accurate data to assess needs, develop policy and assure quality services.
Collaborate with ISDH laboratory to ensure timely and accurate reporting of HIV and STD test results.
Collaborates with the Department of Corrections on care services and prevention interventions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus 1-2 years of public health experience. Graduate degree preferred. Out-of-state travel required.
