The Texas Department of State Health Services is seeking a Program
Specialist III to coordinate the Texas HIV State Pharmacy Assistance
Program (SPAP), a program within the Texas HIV Medication Program
(THMP). The SPAP coordinator works directly with program enrollees,
program staff, community organizations, and the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS) to facilitate client access to the SPAP and
Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans. The coordinator is responsible
for the daily operations of the SPAP including the processing of program
applications and working with the pharmacy benefit manager contractor to
ensure the appropriate administration of the program benefit. Experience
