AIDS Outreach Center is seeking an outreach worker. Staff will conduct activities designed to locate and enroll HIV-positive individuals in medical and social services.  Ideal applicant will be willing to do extensive work in the community, be a team player, very flexible, able to work independently, have excellent written and verbal skills; and be non-judgmental. Some college preferred, one year experience in the social service field; working knowledge of HIV/AIDS; experience with substance abuse issues, especially intravenous drug use; strong knowledge of community resources; family systems orientation. Bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred. Compensation is in the mid-20's or more depending on qualifications; generous vacation policy; option of flextime schedule; comprehensive insurance package; retirement plan.
