Epidemiologist Supervisor

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is seeking candidates to serve as the supervisor of the STD and HIV Section's Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit. The Unit is responsible for operating the Section's STD and HIV surveillance systems, analyzing surveillance data and transforming the data into the information needed to plan, implement, and evaluate STD and HIV prevention and control programs. This professional position is a permanent position located in St. Paul, MN.

Specific responsibilities include supervising the staff of the Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, supervising and managing the operation of the STD and HIV/AIDS surveillance systems and special projects, providing epidemiologic leadership and technical oversight to the STD and HIV Section, community planning groups, and others, representing the MDH and the STD and HIV Section at departmental, local, state, and national meetings, and participating in the Section Management Team.
