Corrections Task Force

The Corrections Task Force is an ad hoc committee formed to enhance the control of sexually transmitted diseases in incarcerated populations.  The task force is a collective of NCSD members, clinicians, correctional health specialists, researchers and academics. Our goal is to strengthen collaborative efforts between correctional health and public health systems working with national correctional organizations and state and local public health agencies to promote best practices and enhance and/or expand STD prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment in juvenile and adult correctional programs.  In addition, the task force seeks to improve the integration of STD control programs with other infectious diseases including viral hepatitis and HIV.
