It's Your Call: Congential Syphilis: Best Practices for Prevention, Outbreak Identification and Response

NCSD continues our membership conference call series- "It's Your Call." "It's Your Call" is a venue for members to discuss pertinent topics and subject matter of your choosing in a forum that fosters discussion and sharing among peers.

This call occurred on January 15 from 1-2 pm EST and focused on a topic critically important to STD-AAPPS grantees, congenital syphilis.

Charlie Rabins, a technical assistance consultant with NCSD, facilitated a discussion on Congenital Syphilis: Best Practices for Prevention, Outbreak Identification and Response. Speakers fromthe CDC DSTDP and several STD-AAPPS grantees will discuss lessons learned from past and current outbreaks. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts on:

• Where are increases and outbreaks of female primary and secondary syphilis and congenital syphilis currently occuring?
• What pevention and control strategies work best for which population?
• How can NCSD support you?
