Shifting to Third-Party Billing Practices for Public Health STD Services: Focus on Case Studies Part I

Organization:
NCSD

As part of our continued technical assistance on third-party billing, the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) held a webinar on November 15 entitled “Shifting to Third-Party Billing Practices for Public Health STD Services: Focus on Case Studies Part I.”

Joining on this webinar was Daryn Eikner, Director of Service Improvement of the Family Planning Council, and Melinda Salmon, Manager of the Philadelphia STD Control Program both who shared insights from their work with the Philadelphia High-School STD Screening Program.

In addition, Shireen Khormooji, Operations Supervisor, STD, HIV, Hepatitis C Program with the Multnomah County STD Clinicin Portland, OR joined us and highlighted lessons learned about their third-party billing practice. These distinguished speakers explored the real-world opportunities and challenges of third-party billing in STD programs and clinics and we thank them for their time.

This important webinar is one of a two-part series that is part of ongoing efforts to support our members, and public health more generally, in diversifying revenue in the face of shrinking discretionary resources.

A recording of this webinar can be found below and the full presenation slides can be found here.
