Youth STD, HIV and Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Integration Initiative
The STD, HIV and Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Integration Initiative, a Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Department of Adolescent and School Health (CDC-DASH) funded project, will strengthen the capacity of national, state and/or local agencies to help schools prevent behaviors that place all young people at risk for STDs, HIV, unintended pregnancy and other important health problems. The Initiative, a partnership with four other organizations, will increase collaboration and partnerships in creating prevention and education messages aimed toward adolescents. To help NCSD achieve its objectives, NCSD has subcontracted with the American Social Health Association (ASHA). Together NCSD and ASHA will train and educate the other groups on STDs.
