Mission:=20       To create a forum to facilitate = sharing=20 of information and practices between programs and to facilitate the = development=20 of programmatic benchmarks/standards.

 

Proposed=20 Goals/Projects:

 

1.           = ;=20 Develop method of sharing programmatic = resources and=20 materials in conjunction with core components.

 

2.           = ;=20 Solicit ideas for future performance=20 measures.

 

3.           = ;=20 Develop method for evaluating yield of DIS=20 activities.

 

4.           = ;=20 Develop system for evaluating the utility of = DIS=20 certification programs.

 

5.           = ;=20 Identify gaps in services provided by CDC = program=20 consultants and provide feedback to CDC.

 

6.           = ;=20 Identify gaps in services provided through = DSTDP PTCs=20 (prevention training centers) and provide recommendations to=20 CDC.

 

7.           = ;=20 Develop models for integration of Hepatitis, = HIV and=20 STDs.

 

8.           = ;=20 Develop methods of evaluation to ensure the = greatest=20 yield from developed interventions.

 

9.           = ;=20 Develop strategies to raise performance = measures to meet=20 level of analysis and effectiveness.

 

10.       =20 Solicit and/or develop models for integration = of=20 STD/HIV/Hepatitis program services ensuring integrity of STD primary = &=20 secondary prevention & integration = programs.

 

11.       =20 Solicit and or develop effective syphilis = control and=20 outbreak strategies/interventions.

 

12.       =20 Assist CDC in development of meaningful = performance=20 measures by soliciting input

from NCSD=20 members.

 

13.       =20 Assist CDC in the development of = benchmarks/standards=20 for current performance measures.

 

14.       =20 Assist CDC in the development of methods for = ensuring=20 valid data reporting for measures.
