Vision:
To promote effective STD
programs that reduces STD transmission
Mission:
To create a forum to facilitate sharing
of information and practices between programs and to facilitate the development
of programmatic benchmarks/standards.
Proposed Goals/Projects:
1.
Develop method of sharing programmatic resources and
materials in conjunction with core components.
2.
Solicit ideas for future performance measures.
3.
Develop method for evaluating yield of DIS activities.
4.
Develop system for evaluating the utility of DIS
certification programs.
5.
Identify gaps in services provided by CDC program
consultants and provide feedback to CDC.
6.
Identify gaps in services provided through DSTDP PTCs
(prevention training centers) and provide recommendations to CDC.
7.
Develop models for integration of Hepatitis, HIV and
STDs.
8.
Develop methods of evaluation to ensure the greatest
yield from developed interventions.
9.
Develop strategies to raise performance measures to
meet level of analysis and effectiveness.
10.
Solicit and/or develop models for integration of
STD/HIV/Hepatitis program services ensuring integrity of STD primary &
secondary prevention & integration programs.
11.
Solicit and or develop effective syphilis control and
outbreak strategies/interventions.
12.
Assist CDC in development of meaningful performance
measures by soliciting input
from NCSD members.
13.
Assist CDC in the development of benchmarks/standards
for current performance measures.
14.
Assist CDC in the development of methods for ensuring
valid data reporting for measures.
