Why CheckYourself?
Check Yourself is the first ever STI home testing solution that was developed by, for, and in partnership with public health departments. Kit users have 24/7 access to a toll-free lab assistance line that can walk users through the sample collection process. All results are automatically promptly reported to state and local health jurisdictions’ surveillance departments leading to timely follow-up and treatment as required.
Moreover, health departments can opt into two free follow-up phone calls to kit users to notify them of their results and provide next steps. NCSD also provides at no additional cost communications materials, one-on-one technical assistance, fiscal management and reporting assistance. All of these services are free to jurisdictions – all you pay for is the cost of the kit!

The standard kit:
• CT (urine)
• GC (urine)
• Trichomonas (urine)
• Syphilis T. pallidum antibody (finger stick whole blood microtainer)
• HIV (finger stick whole blood microtainer)
*We are working on reflexing EIA to RPR and validating rectal GC/CT swabs
*Hepatitis C and PrEP labs available by request
