Historically, the conferences have focused on HIV diagnostic testing in laboratories, public health programs and clinical practice, though the scope expanded with the 2019 conference to include STI and viral hepatitis testing. The goals of the conference are to foster the development and use of new testing technology in the United States to improve testing practices. The conference offers an opportunity for attendees to share data and become familiar with test performance, best practices, implementation of testing algorithms, quality assurance, and the application of newer testing technology in a variety of settings. Attendees include, but are not limited to, public health officials, clinicians, laboratorians, HIV/STI/viral hepatitis testing program managers, surveillance coordinators, and diagnostic industry representatives. Professionals from all aspects of HIV, STI, and viral hepatitis testing are encouraged to attend this conference, which features oral presentations, poster sessions, panel discussions, testing technology exhibits, and networking opportunities. The 2022 Advancing HIV, STI and Viral Hepatitis Testing Conference will offer a diverse array of sessions and opportunities in a virtual format.
