Leandra Lacy provides capacity building and technical assistance to NCSD members in state, local, and territorial health departments. Prior to joining NCSD, she was a Research Specialist at Whitman-Walker Health, working on an HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinical trial. Leandra is passionate about HIV/STD prevention and education particularly among communities of color. Hailing from South Carolina, she holds a BA in Women’s Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MPH in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University.
