At the Core: Stories Highlighting NCSD’s Core Components

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment integrates STI and HIV activities from the initial diagnosis of HIV in Colorado.  This integration provides the environment to support the utilization of data systems related to sexually transmitted infections including HIV in surveillance, partner services, and follow-up activities.

NCSD Congressional Briefing, November 2011

On November 10, 2011, NCSD, along with cosponsoring organizations, held a Congressional Briefing, titled "Getting Through the Teen Years: Preventing Teen Pregnancy and STDs/HIV"  to address the state of adolescent health.  This briefing emphasized the importance of federal investments that provide teens with the tools to safely navigate adolescence and prepare for a healthy adulthood.  For more information, including copies of the presentations, please click here.
